Zoöp Connections

It was a great pleasure for me to participate in the “Zoöp Connections” event at the Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam—to lead a workshop, take part in the panel discussion, and engage with so many inspiring people.

Together, we have explored how we can rethink our relationships with social and natural ecosystems. What happens when we listen to the voices of the “more-than-human”? And how might regenerative principles reshape artistic practice and cultural collaboration?

In my workshop “Follow the Lichens,” we explored the city’s hidden ecosystems—lichens, cracks, tree bark, and all those quiet surfaces that often go unnoticed. Through drawings, photography, and collected fragments, we brought these tiny urban worlds to life and created a space to attune ourselves to the subtle resonances between humans and the non-human.
